I like to string words together to express gratitude for the very experience of life.
Life can be a scene of intricate complexity or organized chaos, depending on the mood of the day. I agree with Thomas Merton who said, ” To allow oneself to be carried away by a multitude of conflicting concerns, to surrender to too many demands, to commit oneself to too many projects, to want to help everyone in everything, is to succumb to the violence of our times.”
It is hard as it is, to try and affect the quality of one’s day with a real balance of sustained drive and contemplative repose; but if I am what I do or think about all day, then perhaps it would be a wise effort to colour most moments with kindness or perhaps love or even a quiet surrender.
This blog is an effort to ponder aloud the perplexities of life, the commonplace contradictions and wondrous puzzlements, but mostly, it’s a documentation of my own journey to locate the sublime in the everyday mundanities of life.
